What does it mean to bring a new life to the world? To experience the miracle of birth? To be close when the little creature is making his or her first baby steps? To help him or her to get to know this brave new world full of secrets and perils, so beautiful yet so unknown? To give him or her freedom and yet always be there to take care of, to comfort, to encourage?
In her debut work, a young director Aušra Bakanaitė looks into the primal bond between the Mother and the Child. Her show is an attempt to reveal the power of maternal love – a potent creative spring that rests in every motherly instinct. Inspired by the comforting inner feeling that the Mother is always close even if physically she is not, inspired the creative team of the show to try and look into this ages-old secret of mother’s love which is infinite as the universe itself.
Poetic, subtle in its forms and textures, the show is the ode to Mother’s love – so powerful yet gentle, giving strength and life.
