Aušra Juknevičienė was born in 1980 in Skuodas. In 2004 she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Puppetry Theatre from Klaipėda University, Faculty of Arts, and in 2006 a Master’s degree in Culture Management from Vytautas Magnus University. Since 2004 he has been the General Manager of Klaipėda Puppet Theatre. Over the last 10 years Aušra Juknevičienė has been actively involved in the cultural and social activities of Klaipėda – she initiated and organised the Puppet Theatre Festival “Puppet Spring”, organised the Puppet Theatre Festival “Karakumų asilėlis” (6 festivals), MATERIA MAGICA (4 festivals), coordinated the Street Theatre Festival “Šermukšnis” (2 festivals), and coordinated the international project “Art Bridge” supported by the EU Structural Funds (Klaipėda Puppet Theatre – partner of this project). He has improved his professional and personal competences in seminars in Lithuania, Denmark and Latvia. Aušra Juknevičienė carries out not only organisational, administrative, but also educational activities at the Klaipėda Puppet Theatre, conducting educational classes for children aged 12 months to 24 months. Since 2010 Aušra Juknevičienė has been elected President of the Lithuanian National UNIMA Centre.
